Man Wanted in Connection with Malden Murder Arrested in Georgia

MALDEN - Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan and Malden Chief of Police Glenn Cronin have confirmed that Dion Smith, 33, of Boston, was arrested early this morning without incident in Atlanta, Georgia. He is charged with murder in connection with the stabbing death of 79 year old Ronald Gilbert, of Malden.
A date has not been scheduled for his return to Massachusetts.
