Woburn Man Arraigned In Stabbing Of Brother

WOBURN - Middlesex County District Attorney Marian Ryan and Woburn Police Chief Robert Ferullo have announced that Kosta Vovolis, 29,of Woburn has been arraigned on charges of armed assault with intent to murder, two counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and domestic assault and battery in the stabbing of his brother on Cedar Street in Woburn on Thursday morning.

The defendant was arraigned in Woburn District Court with Judge Timothy Gailey presiding.

Vovolis is currently being held without bail pending a dangerousness hearing. Vovoliswas on probation for committing an assault and battery on a person over the age of 60 when he allegedly committed this new offense. The hearing is scheduled for July 15.

The charges against this defendant are allegations and he is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
