Winners Announced In 2015 Poster Project

WOBURN – Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan and Middlesex Partnerships for Youth, Inc., are pleased to announce that Tristan Khim at Nashoba Valley Technical High School has been named the winner of the third annual 2015 Poster Project and Honorable Mention Awards will be given to Nick Rioux at Keefe Technical High School in Framingham, Chormrern Chan at Greater Lowell Technical High School in Tyngsborough, and Alexi Delcid at Somerville High School.

More than 190 posters from middle and high school students in Middlesex County were submitted for the 2015 Poster Project.

The winners were selected by a panel of judges which included art teachers, police officers, school administrators, and staff of the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office and Middlesex Partnerships for Youth. This year’s poster contest theme was, “I’m Worth More.” This theme explores self-confidence, personal strength, and healthy relationships through mutual respect, acceptance, and appreciation of strengths, weaknesses, and the differences among us.

“It is always wonderful to see the artwork students have created,” said District Attorney Ryan. “Their imaginations are amazing. They already have the art and graphic skills to get important messages across in a professional and eye-catching way. I would like to thank all the students who submitted posters for this year’s contest and express our appreciation to officials at the schools who helped to facilitate applications and encourage students to submit their work.”

In addition to the Poster Project, a companion program, the PSA Project, is held yearly by the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office and Middlesex Partnerships for Youth. Students in middle and high schools across the county are invited to submit videos they create for important public service announcements. This year’s PSA Project theme is also, “I’m Worth More.” Information about the contest may be found at https://middlesexpartnershipsforyouth.com/about/about-mpy. The deadline to enter is May 1, 2015.
