Wakefield Man Dies From Injuries Following Vehicle Crash

WOBURN – Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan has announced that John Ruvido, 63, of Wakefield, has died from injuries suffered in a two vehicle crash in Malden on Saturday, March 28.

“Two vehicles collided on Eastern Avenue,” said District Attorney Ryan. “An investigation indicates that the vehicle Ruvido was operating crossed into the other lane of travel, struck another vehicle head-on, and when emergency responders arrived on the scene, they found Mr. Ruvido unconscious.”

The Malden Police Department received a call that there had been a crash at approximately 11 p.m., on Saturday, March 28. Emergency responders found Ruvidounconscious at the scene, he was transported to Massachusetts General Hospital, and later passed away. Two occupants of the other vehicle involved in the crash received minor injuries. Witness reports indicate that the vehicle Ruvido was driving crossed into the other lane of travel and struck the second vehicle.

This incident was investigated by the Malden Police Department.

The prosecutor assigned to this case is Assistant District Attorney Kerry Collins.
