Statement on Tyngsborough Death Investigation

TYNGSBOROUGH – Yesterday, January 2, 2024 at approximately 5:00 p.m., Tyngsborough Police responded to a report of an unresponsive adult male outside a residence on Cummings Road. Upon arrival police located the 23-year-old man in the side yard of the home.  He was pronounced dead on scene.  Based on the preliminary investigation the man had reportedly not been seen by his family since December 31, and was reported missing to police yesterday around 3:00 p.m.  Tyngsborough Police had been assisting the family in their search before the man was ultimately located by a family member.

The case has been referred to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner to determine the cause and manner of death. No foul play is suspected and there is no threat to the community.  This is an ongoing investigation being conducted by the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office, Tygnsborough Police and Massachusetts State Police Detectives assigned to the District Attorney’s Office.
