District Attorney Marian Ryan will host a training for staff of the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office conducted by Harvard University Professor Mahzarin Banaji on implicit bias. The training will cover the hidden biases we absorb from a lifetime of exposure to cultural attitudes about age, gender, race, ethnicity, religion, social class, sexuality, disability status and nationality and examine the impact of implicit biases on prosecutors and the criminal justice system.

Assistant District Attorneys from the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office will visit the East Somerville Community School to host the office’s Digital Citizenship Academy. The Digital Citizenship Academy engages students to think critically and decipher misinformation from truth online.
