Pepperell Woman Dies From Injuries Following Motor Vehicle Crash

WOBURN - Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan has announced that a Pepperellwoman has died from injuries following a one vehicle crash this past weekend.

Melissa Deon, 23, of Pepperell, has passed away. Authorities say she was the driver of a vehicle which left the road and struck a utility pole on Mill Street in Pepperell just after 10 p.m., Sunday, January 11. Deon was alone in her vehicle.

"Our thoughts are with the victim’s family,” said District Attorney Ryan. "In a matter of seconds, lives can be irreversibly altered and sadly Melissa Deon has died from injuries suffered when her car left the road this past Sunday. First responders found her unconscious after the crash, she was life flighted to UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester, but then passed away.”

Authorities say the one vehicle crash occurred in the vicinity of 24 Mill Street.

This incident is being investigated by the Pepperell Police Department and the Massachusetts State Police.

The prosecutor assigned to this case is Assistant District Attorney Kerry Collins.
