Man To Remain In Custody In Human Remains Case

WOBURN - Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan has announced that Carlos Colina, 32, of Cambridge, will remain in custody on a charge of murder in connection with the discovery of human remains in Cambridge on Saturday, April 4. As a result of a hearing today in Cambridge District Court, Judge Roanne Sragow ordered Colina to continue to be held without bail and scheduled a probable cause hearing in this case for Friday, June 26.

Human remains discovered at two locations in Cambridge on April 4 are those of one individual. The victim has been identified as Jonathan Camilien, 26, of Somerville. Authorities say Camilien and Colina were known to each other.

These charges are allegations and the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.

The prosecutor assigned to this case is Assistant District Attorney Nicole Allain.
