Man Dies From Injuries After Being Struck In Tyngsborough

WOBURN – Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan has announced that JayprakashAmin, 67, of Tyngsborough, has died from injuries suffered after being struck by a vehicle while walking along Middlesex Road in Tyngsborough on Wednesday evening, March 25. After he was hit, Amin was taken by ambulance to Lowell General Hospital and then transferred to Beth Israel in Boston where he was pronounced dead.

“This is an active investigation,” said District Attorney Ryan. “Investigators will be analyzing evidence and reviewing information provided by people at the scene to determine the circumstances which led to this fatality.”

Tyngsborough police officers say Amin was on foot in the vicinity of 111 Middlesex Road when he was struck at approximately 6:20 p.m. The driver of the vehicle reportedly involved in the crash pulled his vehicle to the side of the road and stayed at the scene. The driver and his passenger were not injured.
