Lowell Men Arraigned On Marijuana Charges

WOBURN – Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan announced that Brian Leduc, 29, of Lowell, and Kevin Ros, 29, of Lowell were arraigned today in Lowell District Court on marijuana charges. Leduc was charged with trafficking over 50 lbs. of marijuana and distribution of a Class D drug. Ros was charged with possession with intent to distribute a Class D drug. Judge Daniel Crane released both defendants on personal recognizance. The next scheduled court hearing for Leduc and Ros is Tuesday, September 22.

At approximately 2:00 p.m., on Friday, August 14, Lowell Police Department detectives observed Leduc dropping off containers at Ros’s residence on Gates Street in Lowell. Detectives then proceeded conduct a motor vehicle stop of Leduc’s vehicle at the intersection of Westford and Smith Street.

A search of Leduc’s motor vehicle resulted in authorities finding 50 lbs. of marijuana. Detectives then returned to Ros’s home where a search of the premises yielded approximately 12 lbs. of marijuana.

The Lowell Police Department and the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office are investigating this incident.

These charges are allegations and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
