Investigators Seeking Man Charged in Connection with Woburn Stabbing

WOBURN – Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan and Woburn Chief of Police Robert Rufo have confirmed today that they are actively searching for Tyler Olivier, 24, of Woburn in connection with the violent stabbing of a man and pregnant woman who were known to him on Tuesday, August 4, 2021 at a Washington Street residence.

Olivier has been charged with two counts of assault to murder, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon on a pregnant victim and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. Any member of the public with any information on Olivier’s whereabouts should contact Woburn Police at 781-933-1212 and should not attempt to approach him.

Olivier is described as approximately 6’ 1” tall and weighing between 190-230 pounds.  He has black hair, brown eyes and a muscular build. He has known ties to Florida, California and Connecticut and may have fled the area.

On August 4, 2021, at approximately 10:50 p.m. Woburn police were dispatched to a Washington street residence for on ongoing disturbance.  Upon arrival police located two victims, a man and a woman suffering from stab and slash wounds to their head and face. The preliminary investigation suggests that the suspect arrived at the residence where he lives and encountered the victims outside the home where they rent an apartment.  During the encounter the suspect became angry and allegedly entered the home to retrieve a knife before returning outside and stabbing and slashing the victims.  The suspect subsequently fled the scene in a White Jeep Summit.  The knife was recovered on scene. Police immediately began searching for the suspect and were able to located his vehicle in Connecticut but have been unable to locate the suspect.

This is an active and ongoing investigation being conducted by the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office, Woburn Police, Massachusetts State Police Violent Fugitive Apprehension Section.
