Human Remains Suspect To Be Arraigned On Murder Charge

WOBURN - Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan has announced that Carlos Colina, 32, of Cambridge, will be arraigned in Cambridge District Court on Tuesday, April 14, at 9 a.m., on a charge of murder in connection with the discovery of human remains in Cambridge last weekend.

On Monday, April 6, Colina was arraigned in Middlesex District Court in Cambridge on charges of assault and battery causing serious bodily injury and improper disposal of a body. At that arraignment, a Middlesex District Court judge ordered Colina held on $1 million cash bail and revoked bail in an open case involving this defendant. Colinacurrently has an open criminal case in Middlesex County in which he is charged with assault and battery and the alleged victim in that incident is not the victim in this case.

Authorities say on Saturday, April 4, human remains were found at two locations in Cambridge and they are the remains of one individual. The victim has been identified as Jonathan Camilien, 26, of Somerville. Authorities say Camilien and the suspect were known to each other.

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner has conducted an autopsy and toxicology results are still pending.
