Hopkinton Man Dies Following Motorcycle Crash

WOBURN - Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan has announced that Michael Anderson, 24, of Hopkinton has died from injuries following a motorcycle crash which occurred last night in Holliston.

“Responding officers saw indications that the motorcycle left the road, struck a tree, and then burst into flames,” said District Attorney Ryan. “Police who responded to the incident saw wreckage which was on fire and found the driver seriously hurt suffering from burns and other injuries.”

Holliston Police Chief John Moore adds, "We would like to thank the towns of Hopkinton, Sherborn, and Ashland which assisted both at the scene and with patrol coverage while our shift handled the investigation into the crash. At this time we will not speculate as to the circumstances and factors that figured into the crash, and we will await the detailed investigative report that will be forthcoming from the Massachusetts State Police Crash Reconstruction Team."

On Saturday, April 25, at approximately 9:50 p.m., the Holliston Police Department received a call from a passerby who reported a motorcycle crash at 96 North Mill Street. First responders found Anderson seriously injured and he was transported to Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston where he was later pronounced dead.
