District Attorney's Office, Cambridge Police, And MIT Police Investigate Homicide

CAMBRIDGE, Mass., August 12, 2015 – The Middlesex District Attorney’s Office, Cambridge Police Department, and the MIT Police Department are currently investigating multiple gunshots that were fired tonight at approximately 8:41 p.m., in the vicinity of Windsor and Main Streets.

One victim was struck by gunshots in a vehicle that was departing Newtowne Court. That vehicle was driven down Main Street towards Kendall Square, where it later stopped.

The victim was pronounced deceased after he was transported to a local hospital. The victim’s identification will be released once next of kin are notified. The driver is cooperating with officers.

Police are actively working with witnesses and seeking suspect(s) at this time. The investigation into this incident is ongoing.
