District Attorney Ryan, Beth Israel Lahey Health Winchester Hospital, Woburn Police and Woburn Fire Department to Host Back-to-School Safety Day
Event will feature back-to-school safety resources, emergency vehicles, K-9 demonstrations, Boston Bruins BFit Challenge, and car seat inspections and installations
WOBURN – Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan in partnership with Beth Israel Lahey Health Winchester Hospital, Woburn Police Department and Woburn Fire Department will host a free back-to-school safety day to remind parents and kids of important safety tips as they start the school year. Visitors will be able to visit information booths hosted by the District Attorney’s Office and community partners to receive resources on bike safety and more as they prepare for back-to-school. Visitors will also be able to explore emergency vehicles from public and private partners across the state including S.W.A.T. Trucks, Military Humvees, Motorcycles, Fire Trucks and much more. The Boston Bruins Foundation will be hosting fitness stations for children. Participants will receive a certificate signed by Blades, the Bruins mascot. Additionally, Lahey Hospital will provide helmet fittings to encourage bicycle safety. Free helmets will be provided to the first 200 participants.
