Burlington Man Arraigned In Alleged Domestic Violence Incident

WOBURN – Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan has announced that a Burlington man was arraigned today in connection with an alleged domestic violence incident.

William Lisano, 74, of Burlington, was arraigned in Middlesex District Court in Woburn on charges of assault on a family member and assault with a dangerous weapon. Worcester County District Court Judge Andrew Mandell presided. Bail was set at $500 cash with conditions to include that Lisano have no contact with the alleged victim in this case, stay away from the alleged victim, no abuse, surrender any dangerous weapons or firearms and not possess any dangerous weapons or firearms, and abide by the restraining order. The defendant’s next scheduled court date is Wednesday, April 8.

Authorities say that on Sunday, February 8, at approximately 6:15 p.m., Burlington Police responded to a 911 call from a woman at the defendant’s address. When officers arrived, Lisano was standing outside the home. After going inside the home to speak with Lisano’s wife and hearing her state that Lisano had allegedly assaulted and threatened her, officers placed Lisano under arrest.

The Middlesex District Attorney’s Office requested that this case be moved outside of Middlesex County due to the fact that Lisano has worked in the court system as Clerk Magistrate and because previously Lisano has held professional positions in the field of law enforcement in Middlesex County. The Judge indicated he would accept this request.
