Arrest Warrants Issued for Two Suspects in Waltham Murder

WALTHAM— Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan and Waltham Police Chief Keith MacPherson are seeking the public’s help in locating two suspects allegedly involved in the shooting death of a Waltham teenager.

Arrests warrants have been issued for the following suspects:

Domingo Mendes, 22, of Belmont is wanted on charges of murder, possession of a firearm, and conspiracy to violate drug laws.  He is described as a black male, 5’10” tall and 165 lbs. He is considered armed and dangerous.

Taylor Poulin, 21, of Newton is wanted on charges of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, unlicensed possession of a firearm, and conspiracy to violate drug laws.  He is described as a white male, 6’ tall, and 220 lbs.  He may be operating a black 2002 Ford Explorer.

At approximately 10:08 pm on March 20, Waltham Police received multiple reports of shots fired in the parking lot at 31 Middlesex Circle.  Upon their arrival within minutes, police discovered a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound in the parking lot.

The victim, Tyler Zanco, 17, of Waltham, was transported to Newton Wellesley Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 11 p.m.

Waltham Police and Massachusetts State Police assigned to the District Attorney's Office are investigating the cause and circumstances of the shooting.  

Based on the investigation, authorities have obtained arrests warrants for the two suspects who are alleged to have been involved in this shooting.  It is alleged that the suspects and the victim were known to each other and that this was not a random attack. 

These charges are allegations and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
