Statement Regarding Fatal Everett Crash

EVERETT – Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan and Everett Chief of Police Steven Mazzie have confirmed that today at approximately 8:39 a.m. police responded to a crash in the area of Broadway at Dunster Road in Everett involving a pickup truck and a trash truck owned by the City of Everett.

Upon arrival at the scene police identified two individuals with critical injuries, an adult male and an adult female, both passengers of the pickup truck. Both individuals were transported to a local hospital and pronounced dead.

The driver of the pickup truck was transported to an area hospital with serious injuries and the driver of the city owned trucked was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

This is an open and active investigation being conducted by the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office, Everett Police and the Massachusetts State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section.  No criminal charges have been filed.

Identities of the deceased individuals are being withheld at this time pending positive identification from the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner and next of kin notification.
