BEDFORD –Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan, in partnership with the Middlesex Community College Program on Homeland Security, will host a House of Worship Safety Training on ways faith leaders, volunteers and staff members of religious institutions can protect their places of worship. Topics will include violence warning signs, active shooter and improvised explosive device (IED) threats and emergency operations planning.

The program will also include a panel discussion with local faith leaders.

The panel is composed of Robert Trestan, Esq., Executive Director, Anti-Defamation League - Boston Office; Alyson Morse Katzman, Associate Director, Safe Havens Interfaith Partnership Against Domestic Violence; Joseph F. McEnness, Executive Director, Office of Risk Management Archdiocese of Boston; Edward J. Notis-McConarty, Esq., Chancellor, Episcopal Diocese of Massachusetts; and Malik Khan, Former President, Islamic Center of Boston, Wayland.
