Charges Upgraded to Murder in Connection with Hopkinton Road Rage Incident

HOPKINTON – Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan and Hopkinton Chief of Police Joseph Bennett have confirmed that Ryan Sweatt, 36 of Milford, will face an additional charge of murder in connection with striking and killing Destini Decoff, 26 of Milford, in Hopkinton on April 4.
The defendant will be arraigned on the new charge tomorrow in Framingham District Court. The prosecutors assigned to this case are Pavan Nagavelli and Christopher Tarrant.
Sweatt was previously arraigned on charges of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon causing serious bodily injury, operating to endanger and a marked lanes violation.
