Fatal Shooting Under Investigation in Somerville

SOMERVILLE – Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan and Somerville Chief of Police Charles Femino have confirmed the ongoing investigation into a fatal shooting that occurred last night in Somerville.

The preliminary investigation suggests that at approximately 10:27 p.m. on Monday night, Somerville Police responded to reports of a shooting on Dartmouth Street. The victim, identified as Paul Nolan, 49, of Somerville, was located on scene suffering from multiple apparent gunshot wounds and was transported to Massachusetts General where he was later pronounced dead.

This shooting is being investigated by the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office, the Somerville Police Department and Massachusetts State Police Detectives assigned to the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office.
