Findings of Inquest into Fatal Officer-Involved Shooting of Michael Conlon in Newton
The investigation into the fatal officer-involved shooting that occurred in Newton on January 5, 2021, resulting in the death of Michael Conlon was closed on May 17, 2022 following an inquest. District Attorney Ryan has adopted the findings of the inquest, which found that “the court does not find that the actions of any of the Newton officers or supervisory responsibilities make them criminally responsible for the tragic death of Conlon or that they are otherwise criminally responsible." A certificate of no prosecution has been filed with the Court.
