Statement on Lowell Fatal Shooting

LOWELL - Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan and Lowell Police Superintendent Kelly Richardson have confirmed an investigation into an apparent homicide that occurred last night in Lowell.
On October 22, 2021, at approximately 6:15 p.m., Lowell Police responded to the area of Barker Avenue in Lowell and located a 30-year-old male suffering from gunshot wounds. The male was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
This is an open and active investigation being conducted by the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office, the Massachusetts State Police Detectives assigned to the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office and the Lowell Police Department.
