South Asian Bar Association of Greater Boston Award Presented to Aliya Khalidi

BOSTON – District Attorney Marian Ryan is pleased to announce that Middlesex Assistant District Attorney and Director of Hiring and Training Aliya Khalidi, of Wayland, was the recipient of the 2018 South Asian Bar Association of Greater Boston (SABA GB) Mentor of the Year Award. Aliya was recognized for her efforts to mentor, encourage and assist area law students on behalf the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office.

“This is a great and well-deserved honor for Aliya,” said District Attorney Ryan. “Aliya has worked hard to ensure that our new classes of prosecutors fully understand the gravity of their duties and responsibilities. She has been instrumental in working with new lawyers and law students to connect them with opportunities within the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office and provide guidance as they begin their careers.”

Khalidi is a graduate of Wellesley College and Suffolk University Law School.

The SABA GB serves as the regional voice for the concerns and opinions of South Asians in the Greater Boston community. It provides a forum for professional networking and development, legal scholarship, and education. It promotes the advancement of attorneys and law students of South Asian community. SABA GB works with other bar associations, government agencies and community groups to achieve greater involvement in and understanding of the issues facing the South Asian community of Greater Boston.
