New Class of Middlesex Assistant District Attorneys Sworn In

WOBURN – Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan has announced the swearing in of the 2020 new class of Assistant District Attorneys (ADAs) formed by seven recently graduated lawyers and one special Assistant District Attorney from the law firm WilmerHale. The class was sworn in virtually on January 15, 2021, due to the COVID-19 crisis. The new class of ADAs participated in the Middlesex New Prosecutors Orientation and Training Program. This extensive training provides the ADAs with the skills and knowledge necessary to reduce recidivism and create healthier communities through crime prevention and intervention initiatives such as restorative justice, pre-arraignment diversion, juvenile court and community policing. The training also included discussions with prosecutors, defense attorneys, paralegals and victim-witness advocates about systemic racism, bail policy, community impacts on law enforcement and criminal law.
