WOBURN – Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan has announced that Middlesex Assistant District Attorney Benjamin Haspel was presented with the Massachusetts District Attorney Association Spotlight Award at the MDAA’s annual Prosecutor’s Conference in Boston last week.

“I join the MDAA in celebrating Ben’s accomplishments as an Assistant District Attorney in Middlesex County,” said District Attorney Ryan. “During his two years with our Office, he has really earned the respect of everyone in the office, as well as the partners he works with, whether it’s the police departments, the court house workers or the victims and witnesses in his cases. His attitude creates a sense of momentum and calmness in his cases and he has proven himself to be hardworking, pleasant and respectful.”

MDAA is an independent state agency whose mission is to support the eleven elected Massachusetts District Attorneys and their staff, including approximately 785 prosecutors and 260 victim-witness advocates.

The Spotlight Award is given annually to an Assistant District Attorney from each District Attorney’s Office in recognition of their outstanding service, spirit and professionalism.
