Man Arraigned In Connection with Sexual Assault at North Reading Wellness Center
NORTH READING – Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan and North Reading Chief of Police Michael Murphy have confirmed that Daniel Feener, 35, of Peabody was arraigned Tuesday in Woburn District Court on charges of rape and indecent assault and battery in connection with allegedly assaulting a female client during a massage at Tai Chi Acupuncture & Wellness Center in North Reading.
On, Monday, October 14, the victim, an adult female, who is not known to the defendant, came to the Tai Chi Acupuncture & Wellness Center in North Reading for a scheduled massage. The victim requested a massage focusing on her shoulders and back. At some point during the massage the defendant allegedly began touching the victim inappropriately and proceed to assault her before also placing her hand on him. The victim allegedly asked the defendant to stop and subsequently reported the assault to North Reading Police.
Due to the nature of the assault Police believe there may be other individuals who may have been victimized by the defendant.
The defendant is described as a white male, approximately six feet tall, with brown hair. It is believed that Daniel Feener, who goes by “Daniel” at work, completed massage school in 2018 and is licensed with the state of Massachusetts. Feener has reportedly worked at Tai Chi Acupuncture & Wellness Center in North Reading for several months as a per diem employee and it is not yet known if Feener has worked in other area massage or wellness centers.

Daniel Feener was ordered held pending a 58A dangerousness hearing scheduled for Friday, October 18, 2019.
These charges are allegations and the defendant is innocent until proven guilty.
