Investigation Ongoing Into Fatal Motor Vehicle Crash in Ayer

AYER – Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan and Ayer Chief of Police William Murray are investigating a fatal motor vehicle crash between an automobile and a box truck that occurred this morning in Ayer.
At approximately 5:52 a.m., Ayer Police responded to multiple 911 calls reporting a motor vehicle crash in Littleton Road, Ayer. Upon arrival, officers located the female driver of one of the vehicles deceased. The driver of the box truck remained on scene and was transported to an area hospital to be treated for the injuries sustained in the crash.
This is an open and ongoing investigation being conducted by the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office, Ayer Police and the Massachusetts State Police Crash Analysis and Reconstruction Section.
