Five Charged in Connection with Acton Stabbing

ACTON – Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan and Acton Chief of Police Richard Burrows today confirmed that five individuals, including three juveniles, have been charged in connection with a serious stabbing that occurred on April 23, 2020 in the area of Long Ridge Road in Acton.

Jeremiah M. Boutin, 18 of Boxborough, and Spencer Alexandre, 18 of Boxborough, were arraigned telephonically today in Concord District Court in connection with this incident.  Three other juveniles, a 15-year-old and two 16-year-olds, have also been charged and will be arraigned in juvenile court at a later date.

All five have been charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, four counts of assault with a dangerous weapon and willful and malicious destruction of property.

The preliminary investigation suggests that on April 23, these five individuals allegedly travelled to the area of Long Ridge Road with the intent to confront the 18-year-old victim who was known to them.  Upon arrival Boutin, Alexandre and the three juveniles allegedly approached the victim who was in a vehicle with multiple other individuals.  The group allegedly approached the vehicle using a baseball bat to smash the windows and began assaulting the victim who was seated in the front seat.  During the incident the victim was stabbed multiple times.  The victim was ultimately able to flee the scene and received treatment for his wounds at a Boston hospital.

Jeremiah Boutin and Spencer Alexandre were released on personal recognizance following today’s arraignment.  Judge John Coffey also ordered the defendants to stay away from and have no contact with victims in this case, to reside at home and to abide by a 10:30 p.m. – 6: 00 a.m. curfew.  The next date in this case is July 15, 2020.  The prosecutor assigned to this case is Raquel Frisardi.

This is an ongoing investigation being conducted by the Acton Police Department and the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office.  Juvenile proceedings are closed to the public and no additional information will be released about the juveniles charged in connection with this matter. These charges are allegations, defendants are innocent until proven guilty.
