The defendant is charged with assaulting a 21-year-old female that he met through work. During the assault, the defendant allegedly became aggressive with the victim, forcefully trying to kiss her and both physically and sexually assaulting her at a private residence. Coffey set a $5,000 cash bail, as well as ordered the defendant to wear a GPS bracelet and other conditions. At his arraignment in Superior Court on January 9, Assistant Clerk Magistrate Daniel Flaherty ordered the same bail and conditions. The next date in this case is January 29, 2020, in Lowell Superior Court.

These charges are allegations and the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.

The prosecutor assigned to the case is Assistant District Attorney Suzanne Wiseman. The Victim Witness Advocate is Renee Leone.
