Authorities Investigating Apparent Lowell Homicide

LOWELL - Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan and Lowell Police Superintendent Kelly Richardson have confirmed an investigation into an apparent homicide in Lowell.

At approximately 10:45 a.m., Lowell Police responded to a residence on Llewellyn Street to conduct a well-being check at the request of a person known to the victim. Upon arrival, officers located the body of the victim, a woman in her twenties, with signs of apparent trauma. EMS responded to the scene and pronounced her dead.

This is an active and ongoing investigation being conducted by the Middlesex District Attorney's Office, Massachusetts State Police Detectives assigned to that office and Lowell Police.

No arrests have been made at this time.
