WOBURN – Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan and Congresswoman Katherine Clark are pleased to announce the donation of 7,500 masks from the Taiwan Chamber of Commerce to first responders in Middlesex County and members of the District Attorney's COVID Preparation Task Force on October 27, 2020.
The donation comes after the need for additional Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) was identified by the Middlesex District Attorney's COVID Preparation Task Force. The Task Force, launched this summer, was created to bring together first responders, including private and municipal ambulance companies as well as police and fire chiefs, to identify and address the needs of those on the frontlines of the COVID-19 pandemic and to connect participants with appropriate resources and supplies to secure PPE.
"We are grateful for the collaborative work between Congresswoman Clark's office, the Taiwan Chamber of Commerce and this Task Force," said District Attorney Ryan. "As we continue to see a rise in COVID-19 cases, we must be vigilant about PPE. Masks save lives and this is certainly true when it comes to our first-responders. We will continue to work with stakeholders to connect those on the front lines to more resources and supplies to ensure their safety."
