Stow Man Indicted for Murder
FRAMINGHAM – Middlesex District Attorney Gerry Leone informed the public today that a Stow man has been indicted by a Middlesex County Grand Jury in connection with the June 24th stabbing death of Jeffrey Weaver, 38, of Framingham.
Kevin J. Porter, 26, of Stow, was indicted on charges of first degree murder, assault and battery with a deadly weapon causing serious bodily injury, and assault and battery.
An arraignment date has not yet been set.
According to authorities, at approximately 11:54 a.m. on June 24, Framingham Police responded to 38 Gordon Street for reports of an alleged stabbing. When officers arrived, they found the victim, Jeffrey Weaver, suffering from stab wounds.
Weaver was transported to Metro West Medical Center and pronounced dead.
Framingham Police and State Police assigned to the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office commenced a homicide investigation into the circumstances of the stabbing.
Based on that investigation, Porter was arrested on the evening of June 24 after police stopped a car in Stow that he was hiding in.
These charges are allegations, and the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
