18-Year-Old Lowell Woman Indicted In Connection With Alleged Murder Of Lowell Man
LOWELL – Middlesex District Attorney Gerry Leone’s office informed the public today that a Lowell woman has been indicted in connection with the alleged murder of Patrick Frye, age 20, also of Lowell.
Terrianne Henry, age 18, was indicted by a Middlesex Grand jury on one count of second degree murder and one count of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon causing serious bodily injury. An arraignment date for Henry is scheduled for January 3 at 2 p.m. in Lowell Superior Court.
“We allege that this defendant stabbed and killed the victim during the course of a Halloween party in October,” District Attorney Leone said. “This appears to be another troubling example of the prevalence of weapons and the willingness of young people to use those weapons to resolve conflicts.”
According to authorities, police responded to a reported stabbing at 26 Dracut Street in Lowell at approximately 1:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 27. Police arrived at the scene to find many witnesses and that two stabbing victims had been taken to Lowell General Hospital. Frye was pronounced dead at the hospital and the other victim was released shortly after arrival.
Lowell Police and Massachusetts State Police assigned to the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office initiated an immediate investigation into the circumstances of the shooting, speaking with witnesses at the party and gathering evidence at the scene. Authorities then identified the defendant to be involved in the matter, and began an immediate investigation into her whereabouts to question her.
That Monday, at approximately 7:30 p.m., Lowell police found Henry at 319 Wilder Street, and placed her under arrest.
According to several witnesses at the party, the defendant threatened the victim inside the home.
These charges are allegations, and the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
The case is being investigated by Lowell Police and Massachusetts State Police assigned to the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office. The case is being prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Kerry Ahern. The victim witness advocate is Dottie Berrios.
